Today it’s my pleasure to introduce RJ Scott, a Spotlight Author who played a big part in organising the 2011 UK Meet in Milton Keynes. RJ didn’t think she’d be able to make it this year, but she’s somehow managed to find room for us in her busy schedule, and is even bringing along her friend, Amber Kell!
Take it away, RJ.
I am the author of fifty books in the MM genre and always write romance with a happy ever after. Originally an Essex girl I am now firmly placed in Buckinghamshire. Lucky to be a full time author, spending ten hours a day writing and networking. Mother of two—a fiercely proud mum of a daughter who fights every day to overcome the effects of bullying, and a son with autism who fights every day to understand his world. Husband to Steve who is a fixing-computers-super-hero (he wrote the shower scene in Guarding Morgan (!)). Blames Chris Quinton and Meredith Russell for encouraging my writing and loves them both for their unwavering support.
Tell us something about you that might come as a surprise!
My book, The Christmas Throwaway was, for two weeks, in the top 300 on Amazon.com sandwiched between Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts. When my FB account was deleted because of an inappropriate picture posting (sighs) I lost all the screen shots… L
What do you like most about the LGBTQ genre?
It’s like a family. A special family and the readers and writers are all so damn awesome.
What are you most looking forward to about UK Meet?
Meeting people I talk to on FB and GR. Relaxing with like minded people.
If you had one wish which would come true at UK Meet, what would that be?
Jeez. This one is hard. Probably that I lost six stone in weight between the train station and the hotel… ROFL
