Today it’s my pleasure to introduce Cari Hunter, an author who’ll be visiting the UK Meet for the first time and adding a much needed f/f writer’s perspective to various panels over the weekend. She’s on one of the panels with me, too, so I’m definitely looking foward to meeting her!
I live on the cusp of Stockport, speak northern English fluently, work full-time as a paramedic, and moonlight as an author in my spare time. I write F/F and have a couple of books published with Bold Strokes, with a third one pending. I love my missus, my cats, my pond full of frogs, Haribo, and hiking in the mountains. I don’t love peanuts (allergic!), sorting out socks, or Bovril on toast.
2) Tell us something about you that might come as a surprise!
I once got herded by a huge billy-goat in Switzerland who wanted to add me to his harem. My missus couldn’t help me for laughing.
3) What do you like most about the genre?
Keeping myself entertained for a whole year whilst writing a story (working shifts is not conducive to writing quickly), and then the absolute thrill of getting it published, hearing from readers, and making loads of new friends from it.
4) What are you most looking forward to about UK Meet?
Meeting new folk, having a laugh, and flying the flag for F/F writers on one of the panels.
5) If you had one wish that would come true at UK Meet, what would that be?
