Introducting our sponsors – Dreamspinner Press

I will do a series of blogs to introduce our wonderful sponsors to everyone. So, without further ado, here’s to Dreamspinner Press, a long time UK Meet sponsor.

Dreamspinner Press is sponsoring the souvenir tote bags at this year’s UK Meet.

Dreamspinner Press is an independent publisher specializing in gay romantic fiction with print, eBook, and audiobook releases, and titles translated in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Hungarian. We publish everything from short stories to full-length novels and multi-novel series in genres including contemporary, historical, mystery and suspense, science fiction, fantasy and paranormal, BDSM/kink, steampunk, transgender, Western, and humor, along with our own Bittersweet Dreams, Timeless Dreams, and Itineris lines. In March 2012 we also launched a GLBT young adult imprint, Harmony Ink Press.

Founded in January 2007, Dreamspinner Press released its first title in May of that same year. Over the intervening years, production has increased to at least eight titles a week. Currently Dreamspinner has more than 550 authors from six continents and 1,700 titles published or contracted. Its website has over 20,000 registered users, and readers can receive information about new releases through Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, various Yahoo! groups, and the Dreamspinner Press blog and monthly newsletter.

In addition to publishing, Dreamspinner Press supports the GLBT community through sponsorship of events such as the Rainbow Book Fair in New York and a number of local Pride festivals. Dreamspinner has contributed a portion of profits from its titles to organizations such as the Family Equity Council, COLAGE, It Gets Better Project, Service Members Legal Defense Network, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City, Lambda Legal, Mass Equality, and the Trevor Project.
