happy May Bank Holiday to British people. Happy Monday to everyone else. There’s a LGBTQ fiction conference in Munich, Germany, on 11-12 July and there are tickets still available. At UK Meet we all love this genre of fiction and another conference celebrating it is only a good thing.
What will I find at Euro Con?
People who love LGBTQ fiction as much as we do. Authors, publishers, readers, bloggers and so many more.
What is Euro Pride Con?
Euro Pride Con is a gathering of fans of LGBT fiction and media, which will be held over the weekend of July 11/12, 2015 in Munich, Germany. This weekend coincides with the city’s Pride celebrations that attendees will have the option to be a part of!
The convention itself will offer the chance to fans of LGBT fiction to meet authors and publishers, discuss their favourite books, trade ideas, and generally hang out with a group of like-minded people.
In the USA, there’s several LGBT fiction conventions that run through the year, however there’s only one in the whole of Europe (the brilliant UK GLBT Fiction Meet). Euro Pride Con will bring together writers and readers from all over Europe to get together over one fantastic weekend.
Munich is a beautiful city and a great choice for the first year of the convention. It’s fairly central in Europe and has an international airport. The convention will be held at the Sheraton Arabella Park, a beautiful hotel right in the centre of the city.
Who is already going to the Euro Pride Con?

What sort of panels will there be?
Here’s a selection of suggested panels…
TEAMWORK, an interactive Co-Writing Panel with Aleksander Voinov and L.A. Witt as well as Lisa Henry and J.A. Rock, two of the best-know writing teams in the genre.
AN INTRODUCTION TO BDSM, the now legendary interactive panel from UK Meet 2014, brought back by popular demand with T.J. Masters and Anna Martin.
GAY SEX ED 101, an interactive panel with Antonio Rodriguez, who will pass on first-hand knowledge about gay sex through demonstrations (with help of assistants from the Gay Porn Industry and Bananas) and in-depth discussions. Discuss Impossible Sex Scenes, Common Misconceptions about Gay Sex and ask all your burning questions.
M/M ROMANCE VS GAY FICTION, a panel that discusses the differences and similarities of M/M Romance and Gay Fiction and what both genres can learn from each other. We will also talk about ways to handle hot-button topics like this in a civilized manner and how to react when commenters attack and insult each other and a discussion gets out of hand.
OTHER WORLDS, a panel about the many amazing worlds authors create and their unique magic that pulls readers out of their daily lives into a different universe. Main focus of this panel will be an in-depth discussion of sub genres like Fantasy, Paranormal, Science Fiction, Dystopian Fiction, Alternate Realities and Post-Apokalypse.
JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER, a panel about the importance of finding the right cover for each book. From early on, we are taught never to judge a book by its cover, but to some extend we all do. In this panel we will discuss what we THINK we want to see on a cover, what actually WANT to see on a cover, how much or little control authors have over the cover and much more.
