And now it’s RJ Scott’s turn to answer the 3 questions.
If you wrote an autobiography, what would its title be and why?
SHE DID WHAT?
On Diane becoming RJ Scott and writing Smut (or not). The true story of a quiet unassuming suburban housewife who decided to write Male/Male gay romance after mainlining too many episodes of Supernatural.
Author’s note – liberties have been taken in the use of the labels ‘quiet’ and ‘unassuming’. Also, ‘housewife’, and the use of the word ‘suburbia’.
What has your writing/ blogging journey been like from the start until now?
I wrote over a million words of fan fiction in the Supernatural fandom. I didn’t write show stories, I wrote AU, taking two incredibly gorgeous men and slashing them to create stories of billionaires, heroes, and the guys next door that fall in love with them. When I asked Chris Quinton if she thought I could make any headway writing MM for a living she was nothing but encouraging. seventy-five published stories later and I’m now a full time writer.
What do you hope to get from UK Meet that’s different from other conferences?
I love meeting up with the other UK authors. UK sales are my second biggest market and the UK is a growing place for MM writing. I meet up with old friends, make new friends, and also drink wine and cocktails – not always in that order…
