Please note any subsequent changes are noted below in RED but won’t be in your programme


Friday: Registration desk open 2pm to 6pm in the main lobby of the Grand Harbour. Badges, lanyards, souvenir programmes and hugs available.
4pm: Titanic themed walk (from Grand Harbour foyer).
7pm until late: social event at the Stein Garten bar (meet in Grand Harbour foyer at 6.45 or feel free to make your own way).


Saturday and Sunday: see schedule below. Things may be subject to change if deemed necessary by the Team.

*NOTE: The Board Room will be available all weekend – as well as other rooms at the available times – for opportunities for attendees to catch up and network in a comfortable area, at their own pace. There’ll also be competitions, a chance to share your news on a Celebration board – and of course, plenty of coffee :).

10.15 am We’ve got it covered – cover art, how cover artists choose photos, photoshopping, fonts, what works & what doesn’t work. The story behind a cover.  ‘How not to write romance’. A not entirely serious discussion on writing romance.
11.00 am Tea and coffee available in Mayflower Lounge
11.20 am The importance of setting/ location in stories. Working with your editor – author / editor relationship. Diversity in stories – characters with disabilities, characters from the whole QUILTBAG.
12.20 pm Buffet Lunch in the Boardwalk Restaurant
1.40 pm KEYNOTE – Shaun Dellenty

10.10 am Know your genre: Sub genres within LGBT fiction and the differences in explicit content etc. Self publishing – everything you wanted to know. Reviews / reviewing – dos and don’ts for and by readers and reviewers.
11.10 pm Tea and coffee available in Mayflower Lounge
11.30 pm Inside the writer’s mind – things writers do; listening, reading, observing like a writer. How writers use these with inspiration to create fictional stories. Holiday romances – why set a story around a specific time, why readers like them. Changing to a different genre within romance (historical / contemporary / paranormal / horror).
12.30 pm Buffet Lunch in the Boardwalk Restaurant
